A welcome message from Louis

Shalom, and welcome. I’m honored to serve as the spiritual leader of Shir Chadash—a warm, close-knit Chavurah and congregation that values tradition, inclusivity, and egalitarian practice.

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and now call sunny Orlando home. Over the years, I’ve worn a few different hats in Jewish life: leading services as a Shliach Tzibbur, guiding families through B’nai Mitzvah, and teaching adults who want to deepen their connection to Judaism. Each of these roles has been a privilege and a joy.

What I love most is exploring the heart of Jewish life with others—unpacking the meaning behind our prayers, finding new appreciation for Shabbat, and discovering how mitzvot can shape our everyday lives. My goal is simple: to help create meaningful Jewish experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.

Shir Chadash is more than a place to pray; it’s a community where we share life’s milestones, find support in hard times, and celebrate moments of holiness together.
